This week Dr. Catherine Williams joins us to look at the concept of concepts using both behavior analytic terminology and some fun, experimental behavioral research. Because making up rules about what defines the concept of a fancy triangle doesn't always cut it. And because sometimes your non-examples are much too far out, hippie. Robert Parry-Cruwys, MSEd, BCBA, LABA is a clinical behavior analyst working in the public school system. Diana Parry-Cruwys, PhD, BCBA-D, LABA is an associate professor of behavior analysis at Regis College. Jackie MacDonald, PhD, BCBA-D, LABA is an associate professor of behavior analysis and assistant dean of health sciences at Regis College.

Meet Your Podcast Guest

Catherine Williams is an assistant professor in Applied Behavior Analysis in the University of North Carolina Wilmington Psychology department. She specializes in translational research to identify effective teaching procedures for teaching advanced skills. Her research interests include the experimental analysis of human behavior with college students to identify variables impacting stimulus control such as conceptual learning and evaluating variables that impact student learning in public school settings.
